Who are we?

“Flores en Daraya” is created as an initiative within the international network of Global Solidarity with the Syrian Revolution, for freedom, dignity and social justice, against the regime of Bashar al Assad and other oppressive, authoritarian and dogmatic systems.
Above obsolete propaganda, in this blog we intend to give a voice in Spanish to mostly Syrian writers, journalists and bloggers, to extend an understanding of the Syrian conflict from the grassroots of the civil society movement.
Our goal is to provide Spanish-speaking readers with the testimonies and demands of the free Syrian people in struggle, often tarnished by the media’s approach to terrorism and international geo-strategy.
It is an effort to support and show our solidarity with activists and grassroots movements within Syria and the diaspora, before and during the Revolution in their struggle against dictatorship, terrorism and absolutism of both the Assad regime and the opportunist actors with their own agenda on the ground.
